What a surprise when I saw my first saguaro cactus blossom! In the late spring, white blossoms cover the tops of each cactus "arm" and are a sight to behold! Several weeks later, when the white flowers have finished blooming, a red fruit appears in the place of each blossom. Birds dart back and forth from saguaro to saguaro, finding delectable treats. Springtime is a perfect time of the year to enjoy the wonders of the desert.
